Lucy-Lou Lutino by Sue Pullen
Lucy-Lou Lutino
Your cheeky chirps won't be heard
Around the house anymore,
You won't be there to ‘hitch a ride’
Upon the sitting room door.
You won't come with me to help me
Make Daddy’s coffee or clean the room;
You won't be demanding my attention
When I'm on the phone or on Zoom.
You won't tell me off, perfectly in tone,
Cheeky girl like you always are,
You've flown across the Rainbow Bridge,
I wish my arms would spread that far.
I'm going to miss you everyday,
Giving you scritches, you snuggling up to my cheek;
You have my heart; you have my soul,
Lucy-Lou Lutino; without you, my world is bleak.
