Star Watch by John Grey
STAR WATCH
The star overseers are out in the fields.
Hands locked, they bend back their heads,
do their duty.
Cassiopeia is in place.
Ursa Major borders Leo Minor.
Lynx is perched, as always,
on a dark ledge, like a cat.
And, despite the February chill,
the combination of bodies close,
lights broad and brilliant
and emanating from the sky.
can’t help but be romantic.
They hug and kiss,
burn fuel,
glow a little.
