Hope Springs Anew by Ciara M. Blecka
Hope Springs Anew
Hope springs anew
like a lotus flower from the mud
as we ring in the new year
and to the old say ado
2020 had turned out to be a dud
but a silver lining did appear
the old adage still rings true
that you may land with a mighty thud
but you will bounce higher than ever, my dear
this is your breakthrough
you are the flower emerging from its bud
as hope springs anew
