Harry Bay by Michael Ceraolo
Harry Bay
I was nicknamed Deerfoot because of my speed,
and that speed allowed me to play big-league ball
just after the turn of the century
despite my slight stature; once injuries took it away
I wasn't big-league caliber anymore
About my high-school baseball teammate Harry Frazee:
he got his start promoting the local baseball team,
and while he was still in his early twenties
he asked me to be one of the investors
in his first theatrical venture
Because of who Harry was I invested,
and was rewarded with a return many times my investment
Harry can speak for himself about his life;
as far as I'm concerned he was aces
