Some of us were just starting out

Some of us were nearer the middle or end of our careers

Some of us were just past or long past our playing days

All of us were still young, either relatively or absolutely

Seven of the ten of us were piloting the plane

when it crashed and killed us

It shouldn't surprise anyone

that athletes would be attracted

to the exhilaration of flying themselves
