Keep Breathing by Christine Tabaka - Review by Joanne Olivieri

My review of Keep Breathing by Christine Tabaka

Keep Breathing by Christine Tabaka is yet another masterfully written example of poetic excellence.

These micro poems and haiku weave words and metaphor into a thought provoking collection of inspirational wisdom of a life well lived as in

*****

when you feel in your heart
what you know in your mind
it is integrated into the whole
It is the universe that is you

*****

Seemingly simple words that display a profound and derp understanding of the correlation between mind and soul

This next micro poem so aptly entails what we as one family upon this earth are experiencing right now. Reading this gave me chills

*****

ancient maps warned us
but only hold half truths
we are beyond the edge
and dragons are not the threat

-the danger is us

*****

This volume of micro poetry follows the author's book title Just Breathe as an insightful collection of affirmations geared towards inspirational living

Her artwork and photography compliment each word tapestry displaying realism through imagination

My recommendation is to  read this book and Just Breathe as well. Read these words as a daily mantra and allow them to grasp your mind and soul.
